In this introductory session, Dr. Malphurs introduces the concept of strategic planning consulting. He discusses how to acquire church clients, and provides an overview of the systematic process of working with the client. He explains the importance of and how to form a strategic leadership team within the church. He explains who should be on the team when the strategic planning is conducted. He goes on to discuss how to conduct an initial church analysis with the church team. In this continuation from Level 1, Dr. Malphurs now begins the systematic process of how to conduct strategic planning with a church in monthly sessions over a 6-7 month period. He provides an outline for the content of each monthly meeting. This discussion also gives the consultant an understanding of the sequence of the meetings. In this third level of training, Dr. Malphurs builds on the training from Levels 1 and 2 to help the consultant bring strategic planning to a local church. On the topic of community outreach, you will learn how to help a church look out the window and formulate a plan to reach others. Finally, Dr. Malphurs explores the biblical command to make disciples. In addition to carefully defining this, he shares a method for helping a church to assess and refine its ministries to ensure that it has focus in this area. Members get a 20% discount!
In this final level of training, Dr. Malphurs covers a number of essential areas of strategic planning consulting. He begins by addressing the importance of helping a church mobilize its church members to be involved in personal ministry. Following this, he moves on to the area of calling and developing a church staff. He then addresses the strategic importance of the settings of the church, i.e. its land and facility, and its finances. Finally, Dr. Malphurs discusses how to use the strategic training in Levels 1-4 to help a church develop and state its vision. Members get a 20% discount!
