How do you connect consultants with churches? The Society publishes an online consultant directory that lists all our certified members. This exclusive directory is promoted to churches across the U.S. and around the world. The consultants in it are not employees of the Society and only include certified consultant members. How does the Society certify its consultant members? Consultant members are awarded certification credentials when they either complete Level 5 training or pass certification requirements. The Society's Level 5 training is a real-world consulting practicum with an instructor who coaches the consultant from the sidelines. Back to top
Do I have to go through SCC's consultant training to become a certified member? To become certified without completing the Society's Level 5 training, you must apply for certification by submitting a detailed biography, case study, two consultation reports, and two ministry reference letters. You are not required to take the Society's training, however every potential consultant member is screened carefully before credentials are awarded. Back to top
Who owns the Society? The Society for Church Consulting (SCC) is a new organization founded and owned by Church Central, which publishes church health news and information for church leaders.
The Society has not yet been registered as a non-profit entity. We only have one full-time employee and a handful of part-time people that also work for the parent company, NetWorld Alliance. To learn more, visit www.networldalliance.com.

Why was SCC created? The Society was formed to meet several needs, the most important of which is that the church is in decline, and we have a passion to do what we can to turn it around. Many churches need help to reach the lost and edify the saved, and we believe our consultants can help restore many churches to their biblical purposes. Back to top
How do I become a certified member if I've already gone through Church Central's training? If you've already taken the first four levels of the Society's training, you can simply sign up for Level 5 by contacting us at 866-515-0520. When you complete Level 5, you'll automatically become a certified member. You can also apply for certification if you are already a practicing consultant. Back to top
